Stuffed Hot Chocolate French Toast
A warm and toasty breakfast is the best way to start your morning. This isn’t just your typical French Toast, this French Toast has a gooey chocolate interior with a crisp, flaky exterior. This recipe is made with our own organic cacao powder which is rich in nutrients and multivitamins. Start off spring right by enjoying a sweet yet healthy breakfast today!
Ingredients
Batter
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons coconut cream
- 1 cup oat milk
- Sliced bread of your choice
Chocolate topping
- 1/4 cup coconut cream
- 2 ounces chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Steps
- in a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients listed in the batter section
- Whisk together until mixture is well combined
- In a small pot on medium to low heat, add in the ingredients listed in the chocolate topping section
- Melt down the chocolate chips until a smooth, even consistency is created
- On a baking sheet, lay out 4 slices of untoasted bread
- On one slice of bread, add in a scoop of the chocolate topping
- Add the second slice of bread on top, sandwiching the two pieces together
- Dip both sides of the bread into the batter
- In a separate frying pan, add 1/4 cup coconut oil on a low heat
- Fry your french toast until crispy and golden
- Add your chocolate topping and enjoy!
