Layered Chocolate Pudding Parfait

What's better than chocolate? Layers of chocolate! That’s why we’re sharing our Layered Chocolate Pudding Parfait. This parfait has chocolate in every bite and makes for a great simple dessert. Made with rich chocolate pudding, featuring our premium Cacao Powder, paired with our chocolate chips, this is sure to be a crowd pleaser. We used our 72% Dark Chocolate Chips to complement the sweet flavor of the pudding, but you can use any of our chocolate chips! Try mixing it up with different chocolate chips, or maybe some Chocolate Covered Pineapples, to find your favorite combo!

 

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cups + 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup of cornstarch
  • ½ cup of KakaoZon Cacao Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 ½ cups of milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • ½ cup of KakaoZon Chocolate Chips (We recoomnd our 72% Dark Chocolate Chips)

 

Steps:

  1. In a saucepan or small pot, combine the sugar, cornstarch, cacao powder, and salt, mixing until the dry ingredients are well combined
  2. Add the milk and eggs and whisk, ensuring there are no clumps of cacao powder
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat, continue whisking this mixture until it begins to thicken bubbles form on the surface
  4. Strain the pudding into a large bowl while still hot
  5. Add room temperature butter to the mixture and stir together, allowing the butter to melt. Continue to stir until well combined
  6. Allow the pudding to cool and serve the pudding with layers of chocolate chips as desired. Enjoy!
