Chocolate Soufflé

With Christmas only a few days away, we wanted to share a delicious recipe. This soufflé is the perfect recipe to impress your family and friends for any special occasion! This delicious gluten-free recipe is an elevated dessert, amazing for sharing during the holiday season! Whatever you are celebrating this holiday season, do it with gratitude, love, and a little bit of chocolate. This recipe is perfect for making multiple mini soufflés (there’s enough batter to fill 2 ten oz ramekins or 4 five oz ramekins) or one big one to share!

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 F
  2. In a small saucepan or pot, melt the chocolate chips and butter on medium heat
  3. While the chocolate is melting, separate the eggs into eggs white and yolks
  4. Once both are melted and well combined, turn off the stovetop, and add the eggs yolks, vanilla, and salt and gently mix until smooth. Remove the mixture from heat and set aside
  5. In a large bowl, beat the eggs whites until fluffy (only beat until the egg white is completely white and bubbly but not any further!)
  6. Next slowly add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until the mixture becomes thicker and peaks form (the mixture should be the consistency of a fluffy merengue frosting)
  7. Next, fold the chocolate mixture gently into the egg whites, trying to keep as much of the fluffy texture of the egg white as possible! Put this mixture into the fridge for 15 minutes
  8. After 15 minutes gave passed, pour the batter into your ramekins
  9. Bake for 8 – 12 minutes or until the soufflés have risen!
  10. Dust with powdered sugar and/or cacao powder and enjoy! (the soufflés might go flat if you don’t eat it soon!)
